Our mission is to bring awareness to the needs of the homeless population who are struggling with mental health disorders. We hope to educate others so they are able to gain a better understanding of the challenges mentally ill homeless individuals face. One in four homeless individuals have a mental health disorder. Untreated mental illness can cause individuals to become paranoid, anxious, or depressed, making it difficult or impossible to maintain employment, pay bills, or keep supportive relationships.

Our goal is to offer mental health screenings and assessments for those who stay in shelters, and seek our assistance. We will implement a necessary treatment plan and support that best fit their needs. With the assistance of other foundations, therapists, clinics, and physicians we will be able to cover all the client’s needs in hopes for a brighter future.

We are all human and have various life struggles. Some of us lack the necessary support that is needed to have a healthy, stable environment that we all deserve.

More effort. More teamwork. More compassion. We can make things better!

Aladdin Forever Foundation was founded in 2018 in memory of Allen “Aladdin” Navidzadeh. For anyone who had the honor of meeting Allen, they would all share the same sentiments—— selfless, giving, encouraging, and full of love. He was very supportive of the homeless population in Los Angeles; volunteering, donating and above all making friends with anyone he came in contact with. Therefore, we found it very fitting to continue his legacy and support those less fortunate in our community.

We miss you every moment of every day. Always with us.

As part of CMU’s Medicine program, students have the opportunity to train in rural towns across Michigan where homelessness, poverty, and minimal resources are very common. Not only is there a significant population of people in these areas who require resources for basic life needs, however, also desperately need resources for individuals with mental health disorders as well. Jamsheed became passionate about advocating for people struggling with mental health while training with the rural population. As a student, Jamsheed has had the ability understand learn about the challenges this population faces in accessing resources and care.

When people think of poverty and homelessness, they rarely think about the small rural towns which have limited resources and education. As a member of this foundation, Jamsheed plans to bring more attention to the needs of these areas and groups of people. Through education, volunteering, and kindness, the individuals in these areas struggling with many life challenges can have better access to the assistance they truly need.
